About NJHEC

I teach every class myself.

I'm Eric Viveiros. I run Healthcare Education & Consulting, a New Jersey DOE-approved vocational school, and I've taught allied health and CPR here since 2018.

Why I started NJHEC

I built the school I wished my students had.

I started Healthcare Education & Consulting in 2018 because I kept meeting people who had paid for training that left them unprepared. I'm a NJ DOE-certified teacher and I hold the CMM, CMA and NREMT credentials, so I teach to the same standards I was held to.

You study the theory online on your own schedule, then come in and practice the hands-on skills with me. There's no faceless portal and no rotating cast of instructors. The person who runs the school is the one who teaches your class and signs off when you're ready.

Authorization & credentials

The credentials behind the certificate.

NJ DOE-approved school

A state-approved private vocational school authorized by the New Jersey Department of Education.

NJ DOE-certified instructor

I'm a New Jersey DOE-certified teacher, so your instruction comes from a credentialed educator.

Authorized AHA · AMCA · HSI

An official, authorized training center for all three certifying bodies, not just teaching their curricula.

NREMT Training Site

A recognized NREMT Training Site, so the EMR program prepares you to earn your National Registry certification at the EMR level.

The approach

Hybrid, personal, bilingual.

Hybrid by design

Study the knowledge online on your schedule, then build hands-on skills in person.

Personal guidance

Small, personal instruction, one-on-one and on-demand options, not a faceless portal.

Bilingual option

Select courses taught in Spanish (exams in English), language is never a barrier.

My facility is fully accessible (ramps, elevator and accessible restrooms) with on-site parking, and I also run hands-on programs at the Blue Chip Learning Center. Note: NJHEC does not employ medical staff on site.
